Description
Charles McKee "Doc" Gary was a Chemistry and Physics professor as well as Forney Hall dormitory director at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) until his retirement in 1962. His students gave him the title "Doc." Before his death in 1967, Mr. Gary gave the university an antique silver punch bowl and other pieces that were then valued at ten thousand dollars. President and Mrs. Houston Cole stand at the podium on stage in Leone Cole Auditorium next to the set on display. Governor George Wallace is shown seated right on stage. (circa 1967)
