Description

The Hon. Charles P. Taft, son of the 27th president of the United States, William Howard Taft, visited Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) on November 7, 1963. Taft addressed attendees in Leone Cole Auditorium on "Moral Foundations of Government." Shown on stage in Leone Cole he stands with Gerald Waldrop, president of the Student Government Association, Dr. J.M. Anders, Dr. William Calvert, Rev. John Ebaugh, and President Houston Cole. (circa November 7, 1963)
