The Shirley Ross twirling clinic was held at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) the beginning of August 1964. Girls from over three states were practicing for the upcoming football seasons. Shown a row of six participants stand outside a building on campus with batons. (circa August 6, 1964)
