Annual Awards Day ceremonies were presented May 6, 1964 in Leone Cole Auditorium at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). State Superintendent of Education Dr. Austin R. Meadows was speaker for the event. Seniors graduating with special honors in their major fields were Clyde Dingler (accounting), Judy Shanaberger (biology), Glenelle Halpin (english), Charlene Glover (history), Crystal Norton (mathematics), Sara McEwen, Wenona Jones (secretarial science), Larry Joe Davis (mathematics).
