Dr. Houston Cole, President at Jacksonville State University, gave his fall address to the faculty and student body in the Leone Cole Auditorium on the morning of September 21, 1960. Shown gathered around him are students Bobby Garrison, Charles Jenkins, Becky McClendon, Jean Strickland, and Billy Anderson (president of the Student Government Association, or SGA).
