Shirley Arnold Pike was presented a typewriter for having the highest scholastic average in the business department at Jacksonville State College. Others receiving honors were, left to right, Sherri Sherrard (Wall Street Journal Award), Mary Jim Ingram (third highest), Mary Lynn Bosworth (highest average for sophomore class), Ferrell Drummond (highest average for junior class), and Raymond Wellde (fourth place in the senior class).
