These students were graduating seniors at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) in commencement ceremonies held May 27, 1962. Graduates receiving special honors in their chosen fields, from left, were Glenda Simpson (mathematics), Jane Batey (secretarial science), Paul Redden (mathematics and accounting), James Cumminggs (mathematics), Edward Fain (general business), Nellie Jo Carlisle (biology). Not present was Helen Fox.
