Josephine Rossiter was a student at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). In 1961-1962 she was a senior. During her time in college she was selected for Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, member of Pi Gamma and Sigma Tau Delta, Counselor, Religious Emphasis Week Committee, Newman Club, Mimosa Staff, Letter of Appreciation, Law Club, Student Government Association SGA, and Dormitory Officer.
