Description

Rudy Abbott was the Director of Athletic Publicity at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) in the 1960s. In 1966 Rudy Abbott received the certificate shown. It reads "National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, Award of Merit, Rudy Abbott Sports Information Director Jacksonville State College (Ala.). In recognition of earning All-America honors in the 1966 Football Brochure Contest as judged by the NAIA Sports Information Directors' Association."
