Description

Maude Luttrell taught English at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) from 1935 until her retirement in 1958. On October 7, 1962 a men's dormitory was dedicated to her and respectively named Luttrell Hall. In 1963 an oil portrait of Miss Maude Luttrell was hung in the lobby of Luttrell Hall. Shown with the portrait and Miss Luttrell is the artist, Mrs. Guice Potter, Jr. of Anniston. (circa June 29, 1963)
