Description

Dottie Wright was a twirler for the Southerners, Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University)'s marching band. Shown in uniform (middle right) she stands with a Southerners drum line member (middle left) who is carrying a snare drum. A Jacksonville High School marching band member stands far right. Standing far left may be 1965 Miss Majorette of America twirler. This event may have been a band competition. (circa 1963)
