Description

Men's dormitory Patterson Hall at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) was named for the late Albert Patterson, attorney-general nominee killed by an assassin's bullet in Phenix City, Alabama. A dedication was held on the front steps of Patterson Hall after its completion. Shown in attendance are Reverend John Ebaugh (Reverend at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville), Governor John Patterson (son of Albert Patterson), Mrs. Patterson (wife of Albert Patterson), President Houston Cole, LaFayette Patterson (brother of Albert Patterson), and Colonel Harry M. Ayers.
