Student at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) Louise Pickens was in the Collegian Spotlight February 20, 1961. Miss Pickens worked in the dining hall. She also was social chairman of the freshman class, sophomore and junior class SGA representatives, senior class president during the summer, secretary of the junior class, a Mermaid, a member of WAA, a Miss Mimosa candidate, Sweetheart of Phi Mu Alpha, social chairman of Pannell Hall, and head cheerleader.
