Description
Awards Day is held by the ROTC every spring preceding the end of the semester. Winners of rifle awards at Jacksonville State College were Leonard Hill and Wayne Pruett. T. Weller Smith, vice president of the First National Bank of Jacksonville, presented a .22 caliber rifle on behalf of the bank to Leonard Hill. George McGill, president of the Richard L. Waters Post, No. 57, American Legion, presented a .22 caliber rifle to Cadet Wayne Pruett for outstanding contribution to the ROTC Rifle Team at Jacksonville State College. (circa May 7, 1961)
