Top ROTC marksmen are shown holding awards after completing the first Alabama Intercollegiate Invitational Rifle Match held at Jacksonville State College February 16, 1963. Past president of the National Rifle Association of Birmingham Irvine C. Porter, far left, made the trophy and award presentations. Commanding general of IV U.S. Army Corps Maj. Gen. George A. Carver stands with him. Williard O. Landers, red team captain of Florence State, won second. The remaining three are unidentified.
