The Alabama Federation of Women's Clubs held an all day meeting of the Second District at Jacksonville State College in late March/early April 1963. New district officers shown left to right are Mrs. B.P. Bowden (president of AFWC), Mrs. LaFayette Michael (new director), Mrs. Marvin Rains (assistant director), Dr. Howard Holley (guest speaker at meeting), Mrs. C.R. Purser (second assistant to director), Mrs. Buford Jennings (treasurer). Mrs. R.J. Thornton (recording secretary) was not present. (circa April 3, 1963)
