Dr. David L. Walters was a member of the Jacksonville State University music faculty and director of the college marching band, The Marching Southerners, from 1961 to 1991. This image appeared in the October 10, 1978 issue of the student newspaper, the Chanticleer, in a "Guess Who?" column. (circa 1940s or 1950s)
