Description

A parade down Noble Street in Anniston, Alabama took place May 12, 1949 in celebration of 50 years of debating between the Calhoun and Morgan literary societies of Jacksonville State Teachers College. Shown heading the parade of floats and cars is the Jacksonville College band. The college marching band was under the direction of J.E. Duncan who marched aside the band in the parade.
