The Jacksonville State College Gamecock football team engaged Troy in the Paper Bowl game held December 18, 1948 in Pesacola, Florida. Shown Jacksonville State cheerleaders and marching band are staged in the pre-game downtown parade. The college marching band was under the direction of J.E. Duncan who marched aside the band in the parade.
