Description

Under the direction of Mr. John Finley the Brass Choir of Jacksonville evolved from a brass quartet that was organized in 1953. Its 1962-1963 members included trumpet players Melvin Morgan, Wain Bates, Tommy Powell, Phillip Hart, Don Medders, William Greenhaw, Gene Love. French horn players Martha Yancey, Joe Childs, James McCarthy, Sherrye Pickrell. Baritone players Ronnie Perkins, Bettina Mills, Hoyt LeCroy. Trombone players Lavon Lang, Doyle Grizzell, Ed Rush, Andy Kerr, James Couch, Glen Walden, Jim Weaver, James Eldridge, Bill Barker. Bass players Robert Ward, Jimmy Harris, James McKay. Percussion by Skip Pittman.
