Description

French Ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Henri Bonnet and Madame Bonnet, were honored at Jacksonville State Teachers College Oct 30, 1947 with a banquet given by the faculty. Dr. James Jones, Head of Department of Foreign Languages, was host of the annual meeting of the Alabama Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French. Senator John C. Sparkman presented the ambassador. Shown seated at the head table are Senator Sparkman, Madame Bonnet, and President Houston Cole. The ambassador, Henri Bonnet, speaks standing at the microphone.
