Description

A celebration was held in honor of Alabama State Senator Pete Mathews. Shown Pete Mathews stands behind Jacksonville State University President Houston Cole who is holding a poster of Pete Mathews wearing a wig. A banner sign hangs above them that reads, ""It's nice to have you in Birmingham."" Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stone are seated left. President of the Alumni Association Caldwell Smith stands right.
