Description

Dr. Ernest Stone is shown standing with wife Mrs. Katharine Stone and son Bill Stone. Dr. Ernest Stone became the Jacksonville State University President in 1971, but in the early 1960s he was a Professor of Education and Superintendent of City Schools. Mrs. Katharine Stone was an Associate of Education and Principal of Elementary Laboratory School. Both served as Laboratory School Directors. Their son Bill Stone attended Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) 1966-1969.
