Description

A pre-orientation session was held at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) for incoming freshmen September 11, 1966. Dr. Harold Martin, minister of Highlands Methodist Church in Birmingham, delivered a message to incoming freshmen, parents, and guests in attendance inside Leone Cole Auditorium. Shown a group of girls are looking over their dormitory rooms following the freshman convocation. Left to right is Michelle Swafford, Carolyn Elland, Sharon Gilley, Myra Hickman, Sharon Stout, and Jean Wood.
