Description
Clarence William Daugette, shown right, came to teach at Jacksonville State Normal School in 1894. Daugette was president of the school 1899 to 1942. Annie Rowan Forney, shown left, attended the National Academy of Art when this photograph was made in 1894. In 1897 Annie Rowan Forney married Clarence William Daugette at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville. They lived in a plantation home on the edge of the school campus referred to as "The Magnolias."
