Description

A row of stores and houses are shown along what is now Pelham Road North, closest to the north end of the Jacksonville square, on the west side of the road. Western Union and the mercantile stores shown were located in what is presently the Regions bank parking lot. The white house called "Boxwood" was built by Dr. Courtney Clark in 1837. It is no longer standing. (circa 1940s)
