Description

Dixon Hall became the seventh dormitory for men opened in 1966 at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). Named for the late Alabama Governor Frank Dixon, the building was dedicated on September 12, 1966. Shown inside the International House President and Mrs. Houston Cole welcome the family of the late Governor. From left to right are Dr. and Mrs. Cole, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dixon and children, Tommy Sam, Jr., Mrs. Juliet Dixon and Joy.
