Description

Architectural drawings for the new physical education building, or new field house, are shown. The projected project was set to begin in early 1971. President of Jacksonville State College Dr. Houston Cole annonunced projected plans July 9, 1969. The new physical education building was projected to have 6,000 seats for basketball and PE classes. This building is known today as Pete Mathews Coliseum. (circa July 9, 1969)
