Description
The Churn, an old regular wooden churn, represented a rivalry between Florence State College and Jacksonville State University. It was sponsored by the Circle K Club at both schools. In 1966 Jacksonville State defeated Florence State for the third consecutive time. Jacksonville then became permanent owner of a silver plated churn to reside in the trophy room at the Student Union Building on campus. Shown making the presentation is Brad Stevens of Florence State, left, to SGA Vice President Taylor Hardy, middle, and Circle K President Bill Roberts, right.
