Description

These high school girls served as instructors at the state high school cheerleader clinic in August 1967. The event was always set before the Alabama All-Star football and basketball game. Sponsored by the Alabama High School Athletic Association the twenty four girls practiced every possible routine during the workshop held at Jacksonville State University. Shown from left to right is Ginger Gunter, Melinda Cockerham, and Jane Thompson, all of Sylacauga High, and Wendy Wall and Barbara Cofer, both of Banks High. Shown they practice a routine together on campus.
