Description

The Churn, an old regular wooden churn, represented a rivalry between Florence State College and Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) in the mid-1960s. It was sponsored by the Circle K Club at both schools. In 1964 the churn was won by JSC and held in the JSC trophy case until the following fall football season when it is again at stake. Here an unidentified man holding the churn on the football field shakes hands with the Florence State mascots. (circa 1964)
