The annual Northeast Alabama Regional Science Fair was held March 24-26, 1966 at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). Junior High winner Sammy Martin from Johnston Junior High School won first place with his project titled "The Identification and Exploration of Quasar by Radio Telescope."
