Colonel Horace Lee Stevenson attended the Jacksonville Male Academy before becoming a member of the State Normal School board of directors, 1883 to 1887, and Mayor of Jacksonville, 1874-80, 1883-84, 1888-93, 1900-02, 1910-11. He was elected President of the First National Bank, 1900 to 1913. The original was courtesy of C.W. Daugette, Jr. (circa 1875)
