Description
An oil portrait of Dr. C.W. Daugette, late President of Jacksonville State Teachers College, was unveiled by his grandson, Forney Daugette, on June 2, 1944 during commencement ceremonies. The portrait, painted by Lewis Gregg of Atlanta, was given to the college by Mrs. C.W. Daugette and was formally accepted by Houston Cole, president of Jacksonville State College. Shown the portrait hangs on the wall in a campus building. (circa 1940s or 1950s)
