The first Speech Workshop was held at Jacksonville State College during Summer 1959. It was sponsored by the Calhoun County Chapter for Crippled Children. Mrs. B.R. Hennes, speech therapist for the Jacksonville State College Elementary Laboratory School, conducted the workshop. Shown are elementary teachers and students Eddie Casey, Mrs. Bernard Hennes, Phillip Martin, Ted Kromis, Mildred Williams, Mrs. Huey Watson, Emma Pruitt, Gertrude Ross, Mrs. Winston Wilson, Gladys Bolt, Ann K.
