Description
Performed: 23-26 May 1996; Pamela Parker's "A Higher Place in Heaven" was the winner of the 1995 Southern Playwrights' Competition. Two elderly women, one white and one black, reflect on changing times together outside on the front porch of an old mansion in south Georgia in 1925. The play was directed by Susan McCain, scenic design by David Keefer, costumes by Freddy Clements. Shown is a costume sketch from Act I. This item is contained within the Clements drama production materials.

This performance was held in the Ernest Stone Performing Arts Center Theatre.
