Description

Please note: no video is available for this presentation.

As artistic opportunities grow, the world of illustration and artistic expression is ever-changing, and navigating this profession can become tricker by the year. One of the fastest-growing freelance illustration opportunities in the world is children’s book illustration. With creatives and authors constantly producing written media, artists are needed to bring this written word to life. In this presentation, the presenter will demonstrate her experiences in the children’s book illustration industry and how this shaped her view on the industry, her currently developing career, and how this has affected her studies here at JSU. This presentation will outline what tasks an illustrator performs, what makes an illustrator, and the process of bringing an author’s vision to life for young readers to enjoy.
