In recent years, mobile devices have gained immense popularity due to their convenience and role in entertainment. Phones have become indispensable tools for work, education, and daily activities, leading to an increased reliance on them. As a result, the security of these devices and the protection stored in them are of big concern. As technology improves, many cyber-criminals find new and sneaky ways to attack mobile devices. It is essential that mobile operating systems implement robust security measures to protect users from cyber-attacks that may destroy their device or leak sensitive information. The two dominant mobile operating systems, Android and iOS, have established themselves as reliable and secure choices for millions of users. However, their approaches to security differ in many ways, such as how they handle app permissions or their methods of protecting user data. These differences often have a big influence on users when they decide between the two platforms. This presentation aims to explore and compare the security of Android and iOS through an analysis of their strengths, weaknesses, makeup, and their effectiveness in addressing current mobile security challenges.
