A presentation ceremony was held March 29, 1973 at the Jacksonville State University International House as part of the General John H. Forney Historical Society annual meeting. A portrait of Annie Rowan Forney Daugette was presented to Jacksonville State by the General John H. Forney Historical Society. Shown Dr. Theron Montgomery, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Jacksonville State, stands at the podium accepting the portrait on behalf of the university. Shown seated left are the Honorable Albert Rains (former Congressman), Warner Floyd (Director of the Alabama Historical Commission), and Mrs. James M. Sizemore (Forney Historical Society Vice President).
