Description

A formal reception was given by President Houston Cole and wife Mrs. Cole June 28, 1944 honoring the Jacksonville State Teachers College faculty and summer school students. The reception was held at the Bibb Graves Hall terrace. Shown attendees enjoy the evening. Identified guests are Dr. William Calvert, Dr. C.E. Cayley, Dr. Loy Allison, Dr. Frank Glazner, Lance Hendrix, Dr. Henry Mock, Beth Cole, Jane, Dr. C.R. Wood, Maude Luttrell, Mrs. Booth, Dr. Clara, Mrs. Stone, Dr. Houston Cole, and Mrs. Keller. The original was donated by Elizabeth B. Traylor on behalf of Mary Lavonne Cobb Bennett Baker.
