An active women's group in Jacksonville was the AAUW, American Association of University Women. Shown at the home of Maude Luttrell are the officers during the first meeting to welcome new members. From left are Sadie Weir (historian), Maude Luttrell (1st vice president), Mrs. Liston Crow (treasurer), Alta Millican (2nd vice president), Mrs. Tyler Posner (secretary), Ada Montgomery (chairman of the committee on the Status of Women).
