Description

Pictured: Coty Cockrell, Jarrod Cuthrell, Shelly Hall; Performed: 12-15 April 2007; David Hall's "Piano" was the winner of the 2006 Southern Playwrights' Competition. It tells the story of how a musical instrument, a piano, threatens to tear apart a family. The family, a mother and her two sons, live on a farm in the Midwest in 1956 and struggle with day-to-day while also struggling with their past, which includes their father deserting them. The director was Susan McCain, scenic designer and producer was Carlton Ward, costume designer was Randal W. Blades, lighting designer and technical director was David Keefer, stage manager was Jacob Phillips, assistant stage manager was Sandy Knight, light board operator was Russell Reeps, sound board operator was Scott Van Patten, props master was Joshua Whitt, and box office Jan Rhodes. This item is contained within the Theatre & Film Production Archive.
