Description

Performed: 26-29 May 1988; Gore Vidal's "The Best Man" drama centers around 1960 American Presidential primaries. Secretary of State William Russell is haunted by health problems that threaten his political career. Senator Joe Cantwell presents himself as the people's candidate. The two frontrunners fight for the support of the outgoing president. The play was directed by Wayne Claeren, stage management by Kathleen Welker, and costumes by Alice Morton. This item is contained within the Theatre & Film Production Archive.
