Dr. Ernest Stone, Jacksonville State University President, was awarded honorary membership in Omicron Delta Kappa by members of Troy State's chapter during a special ceremony held February 4, 1977. Dean Gary L. Branch, Troy faculty member conducted the ceremony, and Dr. Ralph Adams, Troy president, presented Stone with his ODK key.
