Jacksonville State University dedicated its new coliseum on April 8, 1975. Named in honor of local state legislator it was named the Pete Mathews Coliseum. A portrait of Pete Mathews and the exterior of the completed Pete Mathews Coliseum are shown. (circa 1975)
