Graduation exercises were held May 27, 1948 at Jacksonville State Teachers College in an outdoor ceremony in front of Bibb Graves Hall. Shown a speaker stands at the podium. This may be Dr. John Gallalee, president of University of Alabama, who gave the commencement speech. Identified seated in the background are Col. Harry Ayers, Paul Arnold, C.E. Cayley, C.C. Dillon, Dr. J.H. Jones, and Maude Luttrell.
