The Ladiga District Annual Meeting and Scouters Appreciation Banquet was held early December 1953 at the First Methodist Church Annex in Piedmont, Alabama. W.Y. West, Mayor of Piedmont and Finance Committeeman, conferred the new "District Scouter Award" on Dr. Reuben Self and J. Arthur Whitehead "For Outstanding Service to Boyhood." Shown are attendees seated and standing during the event. (December 1953)
