The annual Jacksonville State Teachers College Morgan-Calhoun debate was held May 25, 1944 in the Student Activity Building. Shown left the Calhoun speakers, Maxine Ashburn (second speaker), Kathryn Painter (third speaker), and Jimmy Hinton (first speaker), are seated at a table during the debate. Seated right is Frances Weaver, president of the JSTC Student Government Association.
