Description
Jacksonville State Teachers College organized the "J" Club in Fall 1946. To become a member one must have lettered in a major sport at JSTC, have application voted upon by membership, and take initiation. Members of the club in 1946-1947 were Paul Adams, Gilbert Ayers, Joe Barnes, Marion Bennett, Hubert Brugge, Frey Carter, Irby Cash, Bill Cassidy, Bruce Chase, Elbert Couch, Clyde Driskill, Louie Eitson, Bill Farrell, Niles Graham, James Haywood, George Heath, Sam Heaton, Curtis Johnson, Louis Jones, Theo Lauderdale, Jesse Morton, George Nancarrow, Charles Patty, Edgar Payne, Neil Posey, Hammons Rains, Byron Shipp, John Smith, Charles Sprayberry, Jack Stewart, Jake Tidmore, James White, Emmett Wilson, Ernest Newman, Walter Wallace.
